Q: How can I use Numerology to develop my intuition?

A: I recommend that you work with a friend, partner or significant other as you work with the guidance from your Core Numbers. They are a reflection of who you are, and who you can become. Others may see things in us that we can't or are still unable to see. Working together with the insights that your Core Numbers can provide will help you both to hone and sharpen your intuition. In addition, you'll have someone to verify your insights.

The Core Numbers help to indicate what matters to you. When you deny that something is important you’re denying a part of yourself. You’re shutting down your inner voice, which wants to find a way to express who you are in the world. By not listening, you’re missing out on parts of your full and true self. When you're feeling stuck or blocked, you're not trusting your instincts. A partner may be able to help you work through any perceived difficulties or obstacles that would prevent you from acting on the guidance from your inner voice.

As you work with your Core Numbers you can begin to learn more about those things that inspire passion within each of you. By following your instincts, desire and passion, you can begin developing a connection with your intuition. What inspires you? Follow your inspiration! In particular, you can heighten your intuition by developing a closer connection to your Soul Number, which represents your inner feelings, drives, dreams, and aspects of your spiritual strengths and sensitivities. You can do it! Choose a partner, or find a way to develop your intuition on your own. You become your own expert, your own intuitive guide! As you do so, you can also inspire others to do the same. Today, many of us may be unaware of, or unable to listen to, our inner voice. We may keep our inner dreams locked away, unable to bring them to fruition. Your Soul Number is part of the key to unlocking the mysteries of your soul. What does your Soul Number mean for you? What ideas, or wishes, have you had in your mind and put off as impossible? Numerology and numbers

Question: How does Numerology work? I've heard that it uses numbers, but what does that mean?

Answer: Within Numerology each number is a symbol that represents different qualities and characteristics. The meanings for each of your personal numbers can change throughout your lifetime. Your most important numbers in Numerology are the numbers that are in your name, and your date of birth. These Core Numbers will generally influence your character, behavior, strengths and weaknesses.

It's important to understand that your personal characteristics and qualities do shift, fluctuate and change as you grow and mature. There will be occasions when you will express, experience and live out the positive or balanced characteristics that a number represents and there will be certain times that you will live out the negative or unbalanced characteristics. No number is necessarily bad and the qualities or characteristics that a number represents don’t have to be harmful, shameful or detrimental. They are simply symbols of potential behavior.

How you relate to a number and the qualities that any number represents depends on how aware and conscious that you are of your own life. For instance, you can be in a good mood one day, but be in a down mood the next. Yet, you might still be expressing similar personality traits. You might only be expressing yourself in a slightly more positive/balanced or negative/unbalanced manner. If you normally act reserved, then when you feel depressed you might withdraw and spend even more time alone. You might pull back from social contact. This might make you seem cool, aloof or isolated.

Numbers and our environment

Lately, the environment has been a big issue in the news. I’m occasionally asked, “How can Numerology help in the quest for a cleaner, healthier environment?”

Well, Spirituality and Numerology illustrate that when we don't follow our personal path, or listen to own inner voices and desires, we can then receive warnings of a physical, psychological, emotional, intuitive or spiritual nature that can help to indicate that we are on the wrong path. These warnings can start small, and then grow more powerful as time goes on. These warnings may include situations like personal, family or social problems and they can involve deeper challenges like depression, anger, grief and relationship issues.

One place to begin looking for a solution is with your Life Path number.  Ask yourself how much your Life Path resonates within you right now. Your Life Path helps to paint a picture of your unique path in life. Are you on the right path? Do you feel fulfilled? Do you know what your path is? These people have chosen to begin to design their lives to coincide with their ideals. They understand their impact on the world around them. This is what the simple living movement is about, which involves living life more deliberately. It's not about austerity, or frugality. It's about being fully aware of why you are living your particular life. It’s about following your path in a way that honors yourself, others and the needs of the world around us. It’s about being aware that our actions have impact.

Paying attention to the impact of our actions on the world around us can be an important first step. Gradually, we can begin to take other steps to improve our lives and our world. We can begin to take on leadership roles and ask questions of the current leaders in our communities, and begin to change our own lives. At first this may seem overwhelming, but with dedication and persistence we can begin to make a difference in our lives, the world, and the environment.

Can Numerology help me to learn more about myself?

No, although you will share the same Life Path Number. The Life Path Number is based on the numbers in your birthday. That means you may have similar goals and desires, but we're all individuals with free will. Numerology can show our potential, but we all are shaped by our relationships, opportunities, challenges and experiences in life.

Can Numerology tell me if I am going to have a a good or bad year

I am often asked if Numerology can be used to determine if someone is going to have a good or bad year. First, being conscious is vital to leading a healthy life. Within numerology the general theme of each year, month and day can be illustrated. It can help you to clearly see into the past, present, or  future. But, how you experience a particular moment of time is up to you.

For instance, if you are experiencing a Personal Year of 9, it can provide experiences for change, endings and new opportunities. A Personal Year of 9 can be experienced with grief of the potential loss that is possible, or you can work with compassion and gratitude to be thankful for life itself and everything that is still within your life.

Remember, you are the architect of your personality and character. Your personal numbers can help you to learn about, develop and nurture different areas of your personality. But, they do not predetermine how you will live or who you will become. You have free will. Live your life as consciously as possible and you can have a good year.
